I was hired to create the company logo design, various print items, and animations. My client’s wife is Danish, therefore his company name was inspired by the Danish Viking Fort on the island of Zealand, this was the inspiration behind my design.
My work for Trelleborg provides a great overview of the process you can expect for your project starting with research and beginning concept work.
This is a top-down view of the layout of the fortress at Slagelse, which was the foundation and jumping-off point of my overall design.
LOGO DESIGN
I typically start with rough thumbnail sketches and then I create vectors from those images.
VECTOR IMAGES
These vector images were created in Adobe Illustrator CC.
3D MODELS
After I created the vector images, I built everything in 3D with default grey shading.
FINISHED 3D ASSETS
Finally, I textured the models, lit them, and rendered them.
ANIMATION
Once the 3D version of the logo was completed, I built an entire scene using Autodesk 3D Studio Max and Element 3D. The scene was then animated in Adobe After Effects CC with the audio effects and music mixed in Adobe Audition CC.
