These activities were promoted in various ways for the City Cultural Center. This project outlines the work that was done for the "Halloween" holiday. It was originally themed as "Halloween Jam" and later rebranded to  "Halloween Dance Party."
Before I could begin building the full color images, I had to start with the Typography.
Once that task was complete, I picked three of my favorite fonts and created some mock-ups to see how they held up and to try to identify the right voice and tone for this brand.
In the end, I didn't go with any of these options. I ended up going with "4. Young Frankenstein - Expanded."
Once that was decided, I worked some Adobe Illustrator voodoo by adding some 3D effects, and I ended up with a nice chunky monster treatment for this wordmark logo.
Now that the Wordmark Logo has been established, I started to brainstorm the rest of the "visual look" for the signage, advertisements, and digital media.
This is right on target, but it wasn't until I received some great peer feedback that I  found the voice for the visual side of this brand. It was suggested that I make my Pumpkinhead DJ the main focal point, replacing the pumpkin mirror ball and dutch the angle a bit more, having him loom over the crowd, and BAM! That was the ticket!

Just like with the Dia de los Muertos designs, these designs are rough assemblages constructed from stock images found on Stock.Adobe.com and MotionArray.com

With some great peer feedback and some Photoshop magic, I finally discovered the visual look for this brand and the visual tone of the advertising.
The next step is planning how the design will lay across the two flag design.
I then create the design on one canvas and place it on the two panels and the correct position as if the pole wasn't there.,
